COVERAGE

What we service, in plain English.

Five pieces of equipment. The same answer, every time you call: yes, it's on plan; yes, we're sending a technician.

FURNACES
FURNACES

Heat that holds through a Canadian winter.

The furnace is the single piece of equipment most likely to quit on the coldest night of the year. Our plan keeps it tuned, and covers the parts most likely to fail.

Covered
  • Annual combustion tune-up
  • Gas, oil, and electric furnaces
  • Boilers and in-floor radiant
  • Igniters, gas valves, flame sensors
  • Blower motors and capacitors
  • Thermostats and zone controls
Not covered
  • Full furnace replacement (quoted separately)
  • Ductwork modifications and re-runs
  • Geothermal loop fields
  • Code upgrades required by your municipality
In February of last year, we attended 1,184 no-heat calls across Canada. Average time from phone call to warm house: 3 hours 12 minutes.
AIR CONDITIONERS
AIR CONDITIONERS

Cool that's ready before the heat wave hits.

Most AC failures show up the first 30°C day, when every shop in town is booked solid. We tune the system every spring so it's ready before you need it.

Covered
  • Spring inspection and coil cleaning
  • Refrigerant top-up to spec
  • Capacitors and contactors
  • Condenser fan motors
  • Thermostat compatibility checks
Not covered
  • Full system replacement
  • Window and portable units
  • Refrigerant lines outside the cabinet
Last July we restored cooling for 487 homeowners during the Toronto heat wave. Average response time: under 6 hours.
HEAT PUMPS
HEAT PUMPS

Air-source and ductless mini-splits.

Heat pumps run year-round, which means they need attention twice as often as a single-season system. We split the service into a spring cooling check and a fall heating check.

Covered
  • Spring and fall changeover service
  • Reversing valves and defrost boards
  • Indoor head deep-cleaning
  • Refrigerant top-up to spec
  • Auxiliary heat strip checks
Not covered
  • Full heat pump replacement
  • Geothermal ground-loop systems
  • Line set replacement (quoted separately)
Across 2025, the heat pumps on our plan ran an average of 14% more efficiently year-over-year. Cleaner coils, calibrated charge.
WATER HEATERS
WATER HEATERS

Tanks and tankless, gas or electric.

A water heater that fails floods the basement and leaves the house cold. We flush it once a year, inspect it twice, and cover the parts that fail with age.

Covered
  • Annual flush and anode rod check
  • Tankless descaling service
  • Thermostats and gas control valves
  • Heating elements (electric)
  • Pressure relief valves
Not covered
  • Tank or tankless replacement (quoted separately)
  • Recirculation pump installations
  • Hard-water mineral damage past 5 years untreated
Two homeowners in Halifax avoided a flooded basement last spring when a routine flush caught a corroded tank wall. Both were quoted a replacement before it failed.
INDOOR AIR
INDOOR AIR

Humidifiers, HRVs, and filtration.

The equipment most homeowners forget about until the air gets thick. We service the quiet boxes attached to your HVAC system so they keep doing their job.

Covered
  • Whole-home humidifier service
  • HRV and ERV core cleaning
  • MERV filter swaps on schedule
  • UV lamp replacement
  • Humidistat calibration
Not covered
  • Portable room air purifiers
  • Stand-alone dehumidifiers
  • Duct sealing and balancing (quoted separately)
Members on the Indoor Air add-on saw a 38% drop in winter dry-air complaints inside the first season. Calibration matters.
